Business Mission Possible! Successfully Switch on Connections in Vietnam's Industry.
Business Mission 2012 in Hanoi ended with high satisfaction of all participants, reflecting the fact that Vietnam has been one of the most attractive destinations for foreign investors. Welcome Reception
In the Reception, representatives and delegates from the Association of Electronic Industries in Singapore (AEIS), Vietnam Electronic Industries Association (VEIA), and top Vietnamese companies shared information and visions about industrial trends and trade opportunities in Vietnam as well as AEIS and VEIA’s plans and strategies to support Singaporean and Vietnamese manufacturers’ business.
Factory Visit
A group of technology providers led by the AEIS benefited from the factory visit activity during which 4P Company Ltd and Vietnam Singapore Industrial Park (VSIP) impressed them with their high efficacy in production lines. 4P Company, a manufacturer of components electronics such as main board Tivi LCD and LCD TV assembly line, for domestic and foreign companies such as Canon, LG, Cooper, Daewoo, and so on, showed its modern factory, assembly line, and stages of the production. 4P Company has a plan to expand its plant, responding to the higher customer’s demand.
Visiting VSIP, an integrated industrial park, the business delegations were amazed by its infrastructure facilities and productive operating environment. This is an excellent investment location for companies that target both Vietnam’s and export markets.
The Factory Visit program gave the technology providers ideas on what types of machines and technologies are used and will be suitable for Vietnamese manufacturers.
Exclusive Information Sharing
Delegates and executives from the AEIS, JETRO and Vietnamese manufacturing companies gathered to upgrade their knowledge and business opportunities in Vietnam needed for achieving and sustaining manufacturing excellence towards the upcoming AEC. Topics discussed covered Vietnam’s outlook, trade, industry and potential were by expert speakers, Dr. Vu Tien Loc, President of Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Mr. Raymond LUI, First Secretary (Commercial) of Embassy of the Republic of Singapore.
Business Mission Forum
Under the theme “Challenge and Opportunities in Developing Vietnam Supporting Industry Towards AEC”, notable figures from key industrial associations, together with Ms. Dao Thu Vinh, Vice Director of Hanoi’s Industry and Trade Department, Mr. Nguyen Van Thu, President member of the Supervisory Board of the Government Major Mechanical Production, Vietnam Association of Mechanical Industry (VAMI), and Mr. Le Ngoc Son, Chairman of Vietnam Electronic Industries Association (VEIA), discussed the position and direction of Vietnam’s industries on the road to the upcoming AEC. Over 400 Vietnamese manufacturers and press, who attended the forum, were highly satisfied from the information and the knowledge they gained.
